Reading notice opens before the next lift outage

2 May 2026

Corridor and lift lobby inside a residential building

Lift outages and water interruptions still reach many residents through lobby posters first. The property management app notice is meant to catch people who never walk past the board — yet open rates often disappoint.

Tenant usage analytics help only when you separate “sent” from “opened” and from “opened within two hours.” In several Klang Valley buildings, notices timed at 7 a.m. on weekdays reached more working tenants than the same text sent at midday, when people were already away from their phones.

Pair opens with complaints

If complaint tickets spike while notice opens stay flat, the wording or channel is wrong — not the residents. If opens are high and tickets still rise, the content may lack the timing or the alternative access route residents need.

Keep the lobby poster

App analytics do not replace physical notices in Malaysia’s residential culture. They show whether the digital channel is carrying its share. Use both, then adjust the send window rather than flooding the feed with repeat messages that train tenants to ignore everything.
